Our Planet Needs You aims to help the UK achieve its net-zero goals by educating children, and subsequently their families, about low-carbon lifestyles, inspiring nationwide behaviour change.
Behaviour change alone won’t meet the UK's 2050 target, but it can contribute significantly to the reductions needed.
This is because over 70% of CO2 emissions come from household consumption—from heating our homes and driving cars to the food we eat and goods we buy.
Reducing household consumption means reducing CO2 emissions.
Together with systemic reform and innovation, behaviour change plays a vital role in closing the emissions gap and building a sustainable future.
